Our Beliefs
We believe that God loved you before you even knew He existed. There is nothing you can DO to deserve God’s Love. He just loves you! GOD LOVES YOU!
We believe that God created the Heavens and Earth and is worthy of praise. We believe that our Savior Jesus Christ, the one true Son of God, was crucified, died and was buried and then resurrected from the dead. We believe through this sacrifice our sins are forgiven if we just ask. We believe the Holy Spirit is present with us and comforts us and lifts us up.
John Wesley and the early Methodists placed primary emphasis on Christian living, on putting faith and love into action.
At Highlands UMC we believe in the power of prayer. We believe in the Holy Bible as the unfailing Word of God. We believe in feeding the hungry. We believe in loving our neighbors with open hearts, open doors and open minds. We believe in putting faith and love into action.
